Just days before Anthony Hamilton tickets became available for the 18-city 2010 Budweiser Superfest tour, Anthony Hamilton and his wife Tarsha announced that they were about to become parents–to twins!
The couple are already parents to three sons: Anthony Jr., 21, Romeiro, 19, and Tristen, 13.
Tarsha’s due date isn’t until October, so Anthony shouldn’t have to miss any of the upcoming concerts, which end on Sept. 5.
When he’s not caring for his own children, Hamilton has signed on to assist those in the foster care system as a national spokesman for the National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association, or CASA. Anthony Hamilton will be co-headlining the 2010 Budweiser Superfest with fellow R&B singer KEM. KEM has a new album coming out this summer, so the timing is perfect for him to show off new songs, especially his hot new single, “Why Would You Stay.” His much anticipated release, Intimacy, is due in stores this August.
Other artists performing their latest music on the tour include Hal Linton, Jaheim and Raheem DeVaughn.

Anthony Hamilton received three nominations, but no gramophones at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards last month.
Hamilton was nominated for ‘Best R&B Album,’ ‘Best Male R&B Vocal Performance’ for “The Point Of It All,” and ‘Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance’ for “Soul Music.” Best R&B Album went to Maxwell for ‘Blacksummers’ Night.” Other competitors included India.Arie, Ledisi and Charlie Wilson.
The Grammy for ‘Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance’ went to Beyonce’s “At Last.” Boney James & Quinn, Ann Nesby and Calvin Richardson were also up for the award.
Finally, ‘Best Male R&B Vocal Performance’ also went to Maxwell for his song “Pretty Wings.” Musiq Soulchild, Pleasure P and Charlie Wilson were competing in the same category.

Anthony Hamilton just finished up a trek with Musiq Soulchild, which garnered rave reviews from critics and viewers like.
The soulful duo took the U.S. by storm from the end of May to the end of June. The trek included a number of stops in the South and up the East Coast, as well as two California shows in early June.
Hamilton released his first solo album Comin’ from Where I’m From in 2003, which included the notable track “Charlene.” In 2005, he put out two albums - Soulife and Ain’t Nobody Worryin, the latter included the single “Can’t Let Go.”
The singer rose to fame performing on Nappy Root’s Po’ Folks, released in 2002. He received a Grammy Award for that collaboration. Over the years, he has also worked with artsts such as Talib Kweli, Nick Cannon, Keyshia Cole, Ching, and country star John Rich.
